A serial number on propeller fragments from a torpedo that could have sank the South Korean naval vessel Cheonan.
That's what the investigation team on the cause of the sinking seems to have found.
According to Yonhap News‚ some military officials are saying the set of serial numbers on the fragments found near the site of the incident are believed to be in the same font that is used by North Korea.
And a military official also told Yonhap News that American‚ British and Australian experts taking part in the investigation agree that a torpedo is what sank the vessel.
Additionally‚ the investigation team is also known to have verified that the explosives found match the propellant grain of North Korean torpedoes found seven years ago.
Speculation that North Korea was involved in the sinking has been rife in South Korean media reports since day one although North Korea has denied any involvement in the disaster.
