Even though the weather is getting colder‚ December seems to be the month of giving and sharing for many people.
Many heartwarming events are being held around Seoul to help those who are less fortunate.
One of them was a kind of family reunion last week to which the Korean government invited 70 family members from abroad whose daughters have emmigrated here by marrying their Korean husbands.
Our Hwang Sung-hee joins us in the studio now to tell us more about the event.

The weather has grown significantly chillier over the past week‚ but it didn't keep people from getting into the mood of sharing.
There is a growing number of marriage immigrant women in Korea and many of them told me that the most difficult thing about living abroad was being apart from their family.
And to make these women feel more at home their family members were invited to Korea for a seven day visit last week.
They were shown around some tourist sites in Seoul and I was lucky enough to tag along with them.
Let's take a look.
On December 2nd‚ Korea greeted 70 family members of marriage immigrant women.
Some were from Uzbekistan‚ some from Kazakhstan and some from Mongolia.
They were invited by Korea's Ministry of Public Administration and Security and the National Council of Saemaul Undong Movement in Korea for a chance to meet with their family who have started a new life in this foreign country.

Ministry of Public Administration and Security] "The event was organized to assure the families that the women have adjusted well to their new life here by inviting them to Korea. And we wanted to raise awareness about multicultural families in the country."
Not only were the visitors reunited with their family but they were also introduced to the culture and history of Korea.
On a chilly Friday morning all 35 families gathered at the Korean Folk Village.
Despite the cold weather‚ their hearts were filled with joy at being able to spend this valuable time with their loved ones.
For most of them‚ this was their first time to visit Korea.
[Interview : Chingis‚ Visiting family member] "This is my first time to come to my sister's home‚ so I am very happy. There are many interesting things here and I will take back many good memories with me when I return to Kazakhstan. I think I will think about this place a lot."
[Interview : Delger‚ Visiting family member] "I am very happy to see my daughter and son-in-law in Korea. It is great going sightseeing to so many places. I am extremely blessed."
And with their families here with them‚ the women were all smiles.
[Interview : Minjee Davaa‚ Marriage immigrant woman] "This is the first time for my mom to visit me in Korea. I am overjoyed. I like being in Korea and I am so happy that we can be with each other here."
In response to a growing population of marriage immigrant women in Korea the event has been taking place since 2007 in an effort to accommodate the newcomers and to raise awareness about multicultural families.
The women say although Koreans are becoming more accepting there were some hardships when they first arrived in this foreign land.
Language barriers‚ cultural differences‚ but most of all they longed to see their family back home.
[Interview : Arion Jargal‚ Marriage immigrant woman] "I would love to see my family more often. I miss them the most during holidays. When families get together‚ I want to see my family back home‚ too."
In a few days‚ the dream-like moments for these families will be over and it will be time for them to part once again with no promises made about when they will see each other.
But for the time being‚ they are together and they know that when they return home they will be taking back priceless memories that simply canno
