요약정보
The Barin ritual for the late former President Roh Moo-hyun took place in his hometown of Bongha Village in South Gyeongsang Province.
The 50-minute ritual means the deceased is departing his residence on Earth to a perpetual sanctuary.
Around 5 in the morning the triservice honor guard wrapped his coffin in the Korean national flag of Taegeukgi and moved it out of the village assembly hall which had been used as a mortuary.
People in charge of the public funeral including former Prime Minister Han Myung-sook lined up in front of the hall to watch the procedure.
The casket was of ordinary wooden material reflecting his down-to-earth personality.
While the casket wrapped in Taegeukgi was being transferred to a black Cadillac‚ his family members held a sacrificial rites in front of Roh's portrait scroll.
The whole procedure from pouring the drink to bowing in front of the portrait took around half an hour.
After the rites his son Roh Gun held the portrait scroll and walked around the village assembly hall once.
When the vehicle left the hall around half past five mourners flew yellow paper planes into the sky.
Yellow is a symbolic color for Roh supporters as it was first used during his presidential campaign.
The coffin's transfer from Bongha Village to Gyeongbok Palace is being accompanied by 5 police motorcycles‚ a leading car‚ and an open car that carries an oversized Korean national flag.
The Cadillac carrying the late former President's portrait scroll and corpse follows suit.
There is also a passenger car with his surviving famaily and another motorcar with Prime Minister Han Seung-soo‚ former PM Han Myung-sook and the Minister of Public Affairs and Security Lee Dal-gon.
Behind them are 10 buses carrying his extended family members and others who prepared for the funeral.
Some 10-thousand mourners visited Bongha Village Friday dawn.
