Koreans on average have nearly four credit cards 3.8 to be exact‚ according to the latest report by the Bank of Korea.
The figure is about two to three times higher than the averages in France and Germany with a total of 92 million credit cards and 90 million debit cards being used in Korea.
The United States has the most number of cards issued per person followed by Korea and Singapore.
The study also shows while Americans prefer to carry cash‚ Koreans generally favor using debit cards.
