Washington’s chief nuclear envoy Christopher Hill says North Korea is close to finalizing its list of atomic programs.
Upon arrival in Seoul Thursday Mr. Hill told reporters that Pyeongyang is expected to submit a declaration to host China before the next round of six-party talks‚ expected to take place next week.
Here in Seoul Mr. Hill will meet South Korean counterpart Chun Yungwoo to assess the disablement of North Koreas nuclear facilities underway at the Yongbyon complex and the road ahead.
He will then head to Pyeongyang on Monday for talks with North Korean counterpart Kim Gyegwan regarding atomic programs Pyeongyang needs to declare by years end as agreed to under the October six-party deal.
Mr. Hill will also tour the Yongbyon complex during his three-day visit before heading to Beijing.
