Iran has handed over blueprints to the United Nations' nuclear watchdog agency showing how it turns uranium into the core of an atomic warhead.
Diplomats with the International Atomic Energy Agency said the drawings were hand-carried by Mohammad Saeedi‚ deputy director of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization to the agency's Vienna offices.
The blueprints were seen by UN inspectors two years ago but never given to the IAEA.
The agency had been hunting down Iran's atomic plans after discovering related documents by chance while examining Iran's nuclear activities.
However the UN agency says the images are not enough to fulfill its requests made two years ago.
And experts say the pictures will provide little new to understanding of Iran's nuclear weapons program.
The latest disclosure will be included in IAEA chief Mohamed ElBaradei's report to be presented to his agency's 35-nation governing board next week.
While Iran continues to delay answering the UN's questions on past nuclear activities the United States‚ France and Britian remain convinced that Iran's motive is developing nuclear weapons.
