The image of FIFA continues to be tarnished‚ as the football governing body's former vice president was arrested for corruption.
Swiss authorities have extradited Jeffrey Webb‚ to the United States.
According to a Swiss justice personnel Webb was handed over to U.S. police in Zurich‚ then was escorted by them to New York.
Unlike Webb‚ six other officials detained on similar charges are fighting their extraditions.
Webb is accused of accepting bribes amounting to millions of dollars related to the sale of marketing rights‚ and will face trial soon.
Further allegations being investigated into FIFA include fraud‚ money laundering as well as corruption during the bidding process of the 2018 and 2022 World Cups.
