She painted without any ambitions of holding exhibitions over the years‚ so she was taken by surprise when she was asked to do so by the museum.

This was where representative Gabrielle Giffords officially stepped out of congress.
Shot in the head during a shooting spree in Arizona last year. she formally submitted her resignation fom Congress to focus on her recovery.
During the ceremony Giffords had her resignation letter read aloud.

Since the shooting‚ she has been receiving intensive therapy for the brain injury she sustained.
