[Reporter : ] Disturbing news for Indian spice traders‚ culinary masters and homemakers.
Tumeric and all the colorful and flavorful spices loved and used daily by Indians will see some changes in prices.
The reason behind this; untimely rain in the region.
Price of spices in Rajkot city of India's Western Gujarat state has risen considerably over the years.
This year‚ spice prices have risen by as much as 40 percent compared to the previous year.
Untimely rains have destroyed the crops of spices in many areas.
The bad news continues for spice fans as according to present conditions‚ the prices would continue to remain higher this year.
In contrast‚ over in Gondal‚ the biggest market of red chlies in Gujarat‚ inadequate rainfall affected chili production there.
One of the most celebrated power couples in Argentina's history is Juan Domingo Peron and Evita.
And that is why themed restaurants based entirely on the life of the famous politicians are loved by the locals.
Fans of the founder of Peronism gather at the diner named "Peron‚ Peron" to belt out lyrics to one of the Party's most popular rally chants on a regular basis.
El General is another one of the many Peron-themed restaurants in Buenos Aires.
In this particular establishment‚ diners get to do more than just express their admiration for their political hero.
They even get to eat like the former leader as well.
Simple Argentine food like thin beef schnitzels are sold at a reasonable price‚ adding to the restaurant's appeal.
The restaurant has no bosses‚ and each waiter‚ cleaner and manager gets a share of the business profits.
Over in Ethiopia‚ coffee is more than just a simple beverage to perk you up in the morning.
It is so deeply engraved in the country's culture that the preparation process of the drink itself is dubbed a ceremony.
Not surprising considering the fact that Ethiopia is believed to be the birthplace of coffee.
According to a popular folklore‚ a goat herder saw his goats dance on their hind legs and behave strangely.
He found out that the goats have been feeding on bright red berries found in the green bushes.
Ethiopia currently grows different varieties of the bean and it generates more than 60 percent of Africa's foreign exchange earnings.
And this year‚ thanks to favorable weather conditions and farmers continually venturing forth to educate themselves‚ increased production and profits can be expected.
