Massive floods in several parts of China have so far left at least 57 dead and EIGHT missing.
More than one million people have been affected by heavy rains across NINE southern and central provinces including Sichuan which is still struggling to recover from last month's devastating earthquake.
Officials say downpours are expected to continue for another 10 days.
Meanwhile in the United States at least 20 people have been killed after floods swamped parts of the Midwest.
One of the hardest-hit places is Iowa‚ where swollen rivers have forced thousands from their homes.
A disaster declaration was in place for most of Iowa's counties.
