Senior officials from Korea and Japan will meet next week for more talks aimed at resolving the issue of Tokyo's wartime sexual enslavement of Korean women.
The foreign ministry says Korea's chief delegate Lee Sang-deok will meet with his Japanese counterpart ( )Junichi Ihara in Seoul on Monday.
It will be the seventh meeting of its kind but the two sides have yet to make any substantial progress on the highly sensitive subject.
Seoul has called on Tokyo to take sincere steps to compensate the aging victims‚ but Japan keeps saying the matter was settled through a bilateral treaty signed in 1965.
