2012 was a great year for sports fans as well‚ with ups and downs and worldwide events capturing our attention.
To help us navigate through all the highlights from the past 12 months‚ in all things sports‚ we are joined by our sportscaster SJ! Welcome!
[Reporter : SJ] Hey what's going on guys! And hello to you as well‚ professor!
We have an interesting key word here for sports in 2012. It's "Park" . That could mean so many things. So why Park[Reporter : SJ] You know there's a saying in Korea '대박' meaning 'jackpot'. And it really was a jackpot of a year for athletes with the surname Park or for athletes somehow related to Park. And of course starting off a little question for you Professor Song: What's the first name you think of when you hear the phrase 'Korean football player'[Reporter : PROF. SONG] .
[Reporter : SJ] Obviously if your answer was Park Ji-sung he's defintely a name worthy of being included in tonight's news. Why Did that surprise you‚ him being named captain[Reporter : SJ] but either way let's take a look at his press conference interview earlier this year.
Yeah‚ I got some offers but compared to QPR money is not important it's about the future and how we're going to do and going to achieve the goal achievement so QPR suggest to me to their admission and then their achievements and the future and for me that's great thing and why I signed
