A powerful earthquake in Taiwan has killed at least eleven people and caused a number of buildings to collapse. It registered at six.four on the Richter scale and hit the city of Tainan (TIE-NAN) in the south of the country home to nearly two million people. At least 450 people were injured in the tremor which struck in the early hours of Saturday morning. Those how have lost their homes are being taking care of. "In current phase‚ we are busy rescuing and relocating the victims. There are enough manpower at the site to carry out the rescue. As for the relocation‚ we will provide 1‚200 beds in the military academy fopr the victims." More than 100 people are still reported to be trapped inside collapsed buildings.
