The South Korean military says it's monitoring movements in North Korea and is prepared for any situation after Japanese media outlets reported Pyongyang may be gearing up for another ballistic missile launch. Japan's Kyodo News and NHK reports‚ citing government sources‚ that Tokyo is on alert after detecting signs of a missile launch on North Korea's east coast and has issued an order to ready missile interception systems. That includes deploying Japan's Aegis destroyers‚ equipped with high-performance radars‚ along with ground-based missile interception troops. According to Kyodo News although it seems the regime is readying a Musudan-type ballistic missile‚ it is unclear whether it will be fired any time soon.
