Our top story this afternoon Korea's weather agency says the prolonged and intense heatwave that has gripped the nation for weeks will come to an end this Friday‚ with the daytime high on that day dropping below 30 degrees Celsius. The Korea Meteorological Administration has come under fire over its repeated failures to correctly forecast the end of the heatwave. The agency has made four wrong forecasts as to when the sweltering heat will come to an end. It had earlier said the weather would become much more tolerable starting August 18th‚ but the mercury rose to almost 38 degrees Celsius in southern Seoul on Sunday afternoon (August 21st). Officials at the KMA say it's easier to make accurate short-range predictions‚ but they're constantly revising mid to long-term forecasts. Reporter :
